I have a confession to make. When it comes to biscuits, I’m a drop biscuit kind of gal. Ahem— I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten my hands stuck in dough trying to roll it out (and needed help unsticking myself). It just never seems to work for me. But with drop biscuits, all that fuss and mess goes away! You mix, drop, and bake. Seriously, it’s that easy.

For so long, I thought making biscuits from scratch was some baking superpower that I just didn’t have. The kneading, the rolling, the endless flour on my counters and clothes—it was all so intimidating. But then I discovered the magic of drop biscuits. They give you all the delicious, flaky goodness of a traditional biscuit without any of the headache. And now, I want to share that secret with all of you.

That’s why these smallbatch Jiffy All Purpose Baking Mix Herb Drop Biscuits have become my new go-to. They are incredibly easy to make and the perfect companion to any meal. This recipe is for anyone who has ever felt like they’re fighting their dough instead of baking with it. Let’s make some biscuits!

Easy | Jiffy Baking Mix Herb Drop Biscuits

These savory Small Batch herb drop biscuits are a delicious and easy way to elevate any meal. Made with Jiffy Baking Mix, they come together in minutes. They’re packed with a medley of herbs, giving them a rich, aromatic flavor that’s perfect alongside roasted chicken, hearty soups, or even as a standalone snack. Just drop, bake, and enjoy!

Ingredients

9 servings
Two Cups Jiffy All Purpose Baking Mix
2/3 Cups Milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp celery seed
1/2 tsp garlic powder
One tsp Italian seasoning

Utensils

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Cookie Sheet (ungreased), (though I did use parchment paper.)
  • Medium cookie scop
  • Wooden spoon
  • Cooling Rack
  • Measuring Cup & Spoons

Steps of preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F (204° C)
  2. Measure out Jiffy All Purpose Baking Mix into mixing bowl.
  3. Add dry ingredients (I fluffed/mixed with a fork to combine herbs.)
  4. Add the milk and combine well.
  5. Now using a medium cookie scoop, scoop dough and drop onto cookie sheet about 2-3 inches apart.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Serve warm and Enjoy!

Notes

It’s just me so I usually try to cook & bake in small batch’s. This recipe makes 9 biscuits. Feel free to adjust the batch amounts according to how many you want to make.
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container or Ziplock storage bag.
You do not need to refrigerate these, they will keep fresh in their storage bag for about 3-4 days.
These are great additions to your breakfast, dinner or snack. I initially made these to be smothered in my Easy Sausage Gravy.
